The Bombay teal Dupion Slub Double Layered Kali is a stunning open-front design — the teal outer layer with all-over small white/silver foil dot buti prints parts at the centre front from waist to hem, dramatically revealing a solid deep red/crimson inner flared kali beneath. The sweetheart/curved scoop neckline frames a large deep red inner chest panel, with the curved yoke seam and empire waist both carrying a wide multicolour woven border in dense small geometric/floral print in antique gold, red, and teal. The 3/4 teal buti-print sleeves are finished with a wide red/pink check/grid woven cuff border with gold zari thread lines. The teal outer layer flows into a rich multi-strip hem border — a wide Kalamkari-style printed panel of large ornate fan/shell flower scroll motifs in antique white, red, and teal, followed by a narrow multicolour geometric woven strip, a wide teal Banarasi-style woven band with dense small geometric/paisley print in antique gold and red, and a narrow multicolour geometric strip at the very base — while the solid red inner kali peeks below, completing the contrast.
